What programs does Florence offer?

We currently offer a Master of Public Health (MPH) program (Fall ’25) and will launch a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Spring ’26. The deadline to Apply for the Spring MPH program is Sunday, August 31.

How long does the program last?

The MPH program lasts 18 months, with up to 19 months of U.S. work eligibility. Strong candidates may transition to an H-1B visa for up to 5 years of employment.

Can I work while on an F-1 visa?

Yes. Students enrolled in advanced degree programs (such as a Master’s) are eligible to work under Curricular Practical Training (CPT).

Can I bring my family with me?

Yes. Your spouse and children may accompany you to the U.S. on F-2 visas, though they are not permitted to work. Florence partners with Boundless to help support the F-2 visa process.

Which expenses does Florence cover?

Florence covers program tuition (25% grant, 75% loan), NCLEX prep, and immigration fees. Personal living expenses—such as rent, utilities, and groceries—are not covered, except during the short transition period when your license is being transferred or while you are still completing hospital interviews.

How can I earn rewards with Florence?

Through Florence Rewards, you can earn additional vouchers and travel stipends by completing simple milestones:

  • Completing your profile: $150
  • Studying for the NCLEX: $200
  • Passing the NCLEX: $350
  • Referring friends: $100 each*
  • Recording a self-interview: $50
  • Downloading the app: $50

*Referred users must have passed the NCLEX.

Do you guarantee job placement?

We cannot guarantee placement, but due to the U.S. nursing shortage, most Florence graduates secure positions quickly. To support your transition, Florence provides a housing subsidy until you find permanent housing.

How soon can I start working at the hospital?

After you arrive in the U.S., Florence assists with transferring your license to Georgia and, if needed, set up additional hospital interviews. This process typically takes 2–4 weeks, during which Florence provides housing support.

What will my monthly budget look like?

You can expect to cover your major expenses and still save about $1,071 per month as a nurse in Atlanta. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Monthly Income: $6,667
  • Taxes (est.): $1,467
  • Loan Payment: $1,129
  • Rent: $2,200
  • Groceries: $800
