How Florence is Tackling the Nursing Shortage
Florence aims to cut the U.S. nursing shortage by 50% by 2030 by recruiting top foreign-educated nurses.

Dear Florence community,
I'd like to reflect on 2025 so far and share some key nursing updates that could impact your plans for the year ahead.
At the time of writing, there are over 609,000 unfilled RN positions across major U.S. job sites, representing a $42 billion gap in the nursing workforce. Solving this shortage would have a massive economic and healthcare impact.
Florence aims to cut the U.S. nursing shortage by 50% by 2030 by recruiting top foreign-educated nurses. We offer comprehensive immigration, visa, and work sponsorship support, enabling our nurses to work legally in the U.S.
With this ambitious goal in mind, here are a few key February updates on how Florence is tackling the nursing shortage. We invite you to follow our journey and join us in this incredible mission.
1. Florence University

Florence has acquired an accredited university founded in 1946 and is actively transforming it into a dedicated nursing school for US and foreign students, soon to be rebranded as Florence University.
